Supplemental Insurance

All of the AFLAC policies are optional and are at the expenses of the employee. Part-time employees may have AFLAC coverage.

Policies are only sold by Hantover’s AFLAC agent and are mailed to you by AFLAC’s home office. The current AFLAC agent is Peter Lindstrom (913.485.7945).

AFLAC offers a variety of policies including:
• Accident – Pays you $120 to go to the doctor after an accident (see schedule for other payments); $60 wellness benefit each year
• Short-Term Disability (STD) – Pays based on the elimination period elected. Pays on accident, illness or pregnancy
• Hospital Protection – Pays based on your admission to a hospital
• Life Insurance – Term or Whole Life available as well as Juvenile Life, which doubles the value at age 18 ($10,000, $20,000 or $30,000)
• Cancer – Pays on the diagnosis of cancer and additional amounts for treatment
• Intensive Care – Pays on being admitted to Intensive Care
• Specified Event – Heart Attack or Stroke
